Welcome to Mountain Ridge Dog Pack, where we are 100% dedicated to your dog's well-being and happiness. Mountain Ridge Dog Pack provides your dog the opportunity to let loose and explore the outdoors with other four-legged friends. Dog camp is a dog hiking service that is best suited for friendly and well-behaved dogs. Each dog is picked up at their home and transported with their furry friends to off-leash friendly areas to hike, swim, sniff, play, socialize, and learn. The best part about camp is that it puts your dog in real-life situations, allowing your dog to come home better trained than when they left! Dog camp is roughly four hours a day and has value beyond a traditional doggie daycare. We keep our pack small, allowing your dog to be more confident, comfortable, happy, and to receive additional training he or she would not get at a traditional large scale daycare.
Emma founded Mountain Ridge Dog Pack with her dog, Franklin, in mind. Like many of us, Emma sees her dog as not just a dog, but a family member. She provides her pack with as much love, training, exercise, and adventure as possible in order to get them living their best life. Emma completed the My Dog Camp course, an in-depth course that focuses on healthy dog socialization skills, obedience, and relaxation training.
After an 8 month shadow experience while learning hands on out at dog camp with Emma. In 2023 Tiffany officially joined the MRDP team and helps run camp as an additional Pack Leader and Office Manger. She has her German Shepherd, Dexter, who is an OG camper. Tiffany has been a wonderful addition to the MRDP program and has become an irreplaceable component. When she's not working for MRDP she enjoys gardening, hiking, and spending quality time with her dog dexter.
Dog camp is $40 a day
Service areas include, but are not limited to:
No more wasting time with drop offs or pick ups, now you can send your dog to camp right from your front door!
Your dog will come home with more obedience than when it left, which will save you time and money on training. As a member of the pack, your dog will learn life skills that you will be able to use outside of camp.
Gone are the guilty feelings of leaving your dog at home all day. Your dog will be living its best life outdoors, getting plenty of exercise and social activity. After a day of playing with friends, your pup will be ready to relax with you at home.
With a pack that frequently explores off leash, we work to sharpen your dog's recall skills. You can trust and rely on your dog's recall on adventures outside of dog camp.
Dog Camp is for well behaved dogs and, unlike a doggie daycare, camp is not for every dog. Read below to see if your dog would be a good candidate to join the pack.
Ideally, camp dogs are used to being off-leash with their owners. Although we work on improving recall at camp, your dog needs to have an understanding of a recall before attending. Camp is usually not a good fit if your dog runs away often and does not come back when called.
Dog camp can only accept friendly dogs. Dogs that love other dogs and people are ideal candidates for camp. Does your dog have doggie friends? If so, that means they are one step closer to joining the pack.
Being able to ride well in the car is important; camp dogs all ride in the car together and should feel comfortable sharing their space.
In order for dogs to attend camp, they need to be at least a year old. This age requirement is to protect your dog's growth plates. If your dog is not quite a year old, reach out and get on our waitlist so they can join as soon as they are old enough.
If you answered yes to the three questions above, fill out the form below to set up the next steps in order for your dog to join the pack!
