Mountain Ridge Dog Pack is here to help support owners and their dogs. We want to help provide you with a safe place to play, socialize, and learn. Training should be FUN and everyone deserves to be able to explore the world with their dog!
Mountain Ridge Dog Pack is owned and operated by me, Emma Best. A native Vermonter, with a love and passion for animals. I attended Castleton University where I attained my bachelors' degree in Accounting & Business Management. After working in the accounting field for a year, I had the opportunity to explore my passion, dogs, as a career, and have not looked back since. I have always had my dogs accompany me on my adventures; whether its hiking, camping, kayaking, or paddle boarding.
Which is why I am always continuing my education by participating in courses and workshops. I am a graduate of the My Dog Camp Course and attended and will be a 3-day E-collar workshop with professional dog trainer & mentor, Rhonda Bilodeau. I attended a 3-day workshop with professional dog trainer, Jay Jack, called Play As The Way!, which focused on building strong relationships between owners and dogs. I have also completed the following online courses in 2021: Mastering the Remote Collar, Happy Rescue Dogs, TBTE L1, and Puppy Lab.
I value the importance of continuing education and that practices are always evolving. I strive to provide my clients with the most successful and informative information when it comes to dogs and training.
Franklin - 6 year old Australian Shepherd
Franklin, a vibrant and loyal companion, has played a huge role in my decision to start this business. He has taught me so much along this journey. I have been able to see first hand, how these training technics can greatly improve owner's and dog's lives, as it did for Franklin and I. He continues to help me teach the all of the dogs at camp. When he's not helping me with dogs, he's home at our hobby farm keeping the animals in order or out on an adventure!
Echo - 2 year old Australian Shepherd
Echo has become my right hand women while running MRDP. Echo's loving personality and confidence is beyond valuable in helping other dogs continue to grow while she helps private training clients & their dogs. She loves a good camp day and exploring with her friends while running free. She has become an invaluable asset to MRDP. When she's not at camp or working at lessons, you can find her
Otter - 1 year old island pup
Otter was a foster who quickly turned into a official foster fail - we couldn't pass up the opportunity to had this sweet and sassy girl to our family. While born in St. Croix, she has made an adjustment to Vermont and is truly living her best life. She is well reserved and fearless despite her 20lb size and truly a great addition to MRDP.
